Jingalla Winery & Vineyard
Jingalla Wines is a family partnership, run by Barry & Shelley Coad & Geoff & Nita Clarke with assistance from our "Girl Tuesday", Gayle.
Established in 1979, Jingalla has been producing award winning, cool climate wines since the first vintage in 1983. In 2013 Jingalla celebrates 31 vintages.
The Vineyard
The consistent high quality of our wines begins with nature's blessings - the 450 metre elevation on the northern slopes of the Porongurup Ranges, deep granitic loam soils, and refreshing, clean green climate. Mother Nature's input is augmented by time & toil which has provided intimate knowledge of our vineyard, allowing us to create wines which always surprise and delight the palate. Be captivated by the distinctive varietal & regional characters of our Porongurup Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Verdelho. With an average rainfall of 840mm annually, Jingalla produces around 2,000 dozen bottles of premium wine.
Our Name
"JINGALLA" means crescent or moon shaped, which aptly describes the boundary of our beautiful property. Our label design celebrates the enchanting view from our topmost vineyard as overseen by a luminous & stately crescent moon: symbolising the enduring commitment by Jingalla to consistently produce wines of quality and distinction, as reliable and dependable as the rising of a new moon…..
